Construction Permits must be renewed annually.  The Land Use Administrator has the discretion to issue up to 3 annual permits for a property owner.  Issuance of a 4th permit is subject to a variance request made to the Board of County Commissioners.  This is pursuant to the Land Use Code Section 1.90 - Vested Property Rights, Subsections B. 1. and C.

Need A Physical Address? Please Contact the Planning and Zoning Office. You will need the Legal Description of the property and the owner's name that is registered in the Costilla County Assessor's office. This information is needed to properly address the property. A Physical Address will NOT be issued to Vacant Land. There is a $20.00 fee for this process.

County Wide:

Snow Load: 30lbs/square foot

Wind Load: 115 miles/hour

* Manufactured Homes must be 1976 or newer to be allowed in Costilla County*
